Marrakech is extraordinary. It is also loud, hot, and relentless. By mid-morning, even the most enthusiastic traveller starts dreaming of somewhere quieter. The Agafay Pool and Lunch Pass is the answer — and it is exactly 30 minutes from your riad door.
The Agafay Desert is not the sand dunes most people imagine when they think of Morocco. It is a vast, silent rocky plateau where the Atlas Mountains rise from the horizon in every direction and the air carries a stillness that the medina never offers. Into this landscape, a luxury pool has been set — turquoise water against ochre rock, panoramic desert views stretching to the Atlas peaks, and comfortable lounge areas with shaded seating arranged around the water’s edge.
From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this is your space. Swim, read, sleep in the desert sun, or simply sit and watch the Atlas light change across the Agafay plateau for hours. At the heart of the day, a three-course Moroccan lunch is served — fresh salads, a slow-cooked traditional tagine, and dessert — the kind of unhurried meal that tastes better outdoors, in the desert, with nothing else to do afterwards.
At 45€ per person with everything included, the Agafay Lunch and Swimming Pool experience is one of the best-value luxury half-days available within reach of Marrakech — and one of the most genuinely memorable.

What to Expect
Departure from Marrakech — 11:00 AM
Your private driver collects you directly from your hotel, riad, or apartment in Marrakech at 11:00 AM. The late morning departure is one of the most civilised things about this experience — no early alarm, no rushing. A slow Marrakech breakfast, a morning in the medina, or simply a relaxed riad start before your driver arrives at the door.
Your air-conditioned vehicle goes directly to the Agafay — no stops, no detours. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. The city dissolves quickly as the road heads south and the vast Agafay plateau opens up ahead, the Atlas Mountains rising on the horizon as you arrive.
Arrival at the Agafay Pool Setting
Your driver delivers you directly to the pool setting. From the moment you step out of the vehicle, the contrast with Marrakech is total.
Silence. Space. The Atlas Mountains ahead of you and the Agafay plateau stretching out in every direction.
Your host welcomes you, shows you to the pool and lounge area, and confirms the lunch timing. The luxury pool faces the desert and the mountains directly — panoramic views from every point in the water.
Comfortable lounge chairs and shaded seating areas are arranged around the pool for those who prefer to be out of the sun.
Take your time settling in. The pool is yours until 5:00 PM.
Three-Course Moroccan Lunch — included
Your three-course lunch is served at the pool setting in the Agafay Desert — included in your 45€ per person Pass, no additional charge. (fresh salads, traditional tagine, dessert)
Afternoon at the Pool — until 5:00 PM
After lunch, the afternoon is entirely yours until 5:00 PM. The pool is the centrepiece — swim, float, and take in the panoramic Agafay and Atlas views from the water. The combination of Moroccan sun, cool pool water, and desert silence is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend an afternoon in Morocco.
Comfortable lounge chairs and shaded seating areas are available around the pool for alternating between sun and shade. There is no programme, no activity schedule, and no pressure. Read, sleep, photograph the Atlas light changing across the desert plateau, or simply do nothing at all. The Agafay excels at nothing at all.
Additional drinks and refreshments are available to order on-site and paid separately. Your driver will collect you at 5:00 PM or at your agreed return time.
Return to Marrakech — 5:00 PM
Your driver meets you at the pool setting at 5:00 PM for the return journey to Marrakech. The drive back takes approximately 30 minutes and brings you to your accommodation by 5:30 PM — leaving a full evening free for dinner in the medina, a rooftop sunset, or the hammam. If you would prefer a slightly later pickup, contact us at booking and we will confirm based on availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the 45€ per person price?
The 45€ per person Pool and Lunch Pass includes full access to the luxury swimming pool from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, use of the comfortable lounge areas and shaded seating, and a complete three-course Moroccan lunch — fresh salads, traditional tagine, and dessert. The private vehicle transfer from Marrakech is priced separately based on your group size
and vehicle category. Everything at the pool itself is covered in the 45€.
What does the three-course lunch include?
The three-course Moroccan lunch is fully included in the 45€ Pass. Course one is a selection of fresh Moroccan cold salads served with warm bread. Course two is a traditional slow-cooked tagine — typically chicken, lamb, or vegetarian. Course three is dessert — seasonal fruit. Additional drinks beyond the lunch service are available on-site and
paid separately.
What time does the experience start and end?
The Pool and Lunch Pass runs from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM — up to eight full hours on-site. Your private driver departs Marrakech at 11:00 AM and arrives at the Agafay pool setting at approximately 11:30 AM. Return pickup is at 5:00 PM, arriving back in Marrakech at approximately 5:30 PM. If you need a slightly different return time, contact us at booking.
Is the pool luxury or standard?
The pool is a luxury swimming pool with full panoramic desert and Atlas Mountains views — designed specifically for the Agafay setting. The pool deck features comfortable lounge chairs and shaded seating areas around the water. It is not a hotel pool — it is a purpose-built desert experience pool, and the views from the water are unlike anything available in
Marrakech itself.
Do I need to bring a towel?
Yes — please bring your own towel and swimsuit. Towels are not included in the 45€ Pass as standard. If you would like to confirm whether towels are available for hire on your visit date, contact us via WhatsApp before booking and we will check with the venue directly.
Is this suitable for children?
Yes. The Agafay Pool and Lunch Pass is ideal for families with children. The pool setting is relaxed and well-managed, the three-course lunch is family-friendly, and the Agafay landscape is fascinating for younger travellers. Please mention the ages and number of children in your group at booking so we can confirm any specific requirements on-site.
What is the best season for the pool experience?
The pool is available and enjoyable year-round. April through October is the ideal swimming season — warm temperatures and full Moroccan sun make the pool perfectly refreshing. July and August are the best months for the pool specifically, as the Agafay heat makes the cool water essential. November through March is still beautiful for the landscape
and lunch experience, though the pool may be cooler for swimming.
Is the transfer private or shared?
The transfer from Marrakech to the Agafay and back is 100% private — your vehicle is exclusively reserved for your group. You will not share with other travellers at any point during the journey. On-site at the pool, other guests may be present depending on the venue’s capacity. Contact us if exclusive pool access is a specific requirement.
